Refunds and cancellations
Last updated October 2026.
The short version
- Free trial: every new family gets 2 days free. Cancel before it ends and you pay nothing at all.
- Changed your mind after paying? Cancel within 14 days of ordering and we'll refund your first payment in full.
- After that: cancel any time. You won't be charged again, and tracking carries on until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund part-used months or years, except in the cases below.
How to cancel
Sign in on this website, open your account and choose Cancel subscription. It takes effect straight away and PayPal won't take any further payments. You can also cancel the automatic payment in your PayPal account, but please cancel with us too so your account shows the right status.
Your 14-day right to cancel
As a UK consumer you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of ordering. Because you can start using the service straight away, the law would normally let us keep a fair amount for the days you used it. We don't: if you cancel within 14 days of ordering, we'll refund every payment you've made in full.
When we'll always refund
- You were charged twice, or charged after you cancelled.
- The service didn't work for a lasting period because of a fault on our side, for example our server was down. We'll refund the affected time, or the whole period if it was unusable.
- Anything else your statutory rights entitle you to. Nothing on this page affects them.
We can't refund because of things outside our control, such as a tag reporting rarely in a quiet area, a flat tag battery, or changes Google makes to its Find Hub network. The questions page explains how often locations update.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@redplumm.com from the address on your account and tell us what happened. We'll reply within 2 working days. Refunds go back through PayPal to the card or PayPal account you paid with, normally within 5 working days of us agreeing them; your bank may take a few more days to show it.
When a plan ends
When a cancelled plan reaches the end of its paid period, or a payment fails and isn't fixed, tracking stops and the app stops showing locations. Your settings and history are kept so you can carry on if you renew. To remove everything, delete your account.
