Your data and GDPR
Last updated October 2026.
The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you rights over the personal data we hold. This page explains them in plain English. What we collect and why is in our privacy notice.
Who is responsible for your data
Redplumm International Limited is the data controller for Little Footprints. We're registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, number ZC271857. For anything about your data, email support@redplumm.com.
Your rights
- See your data (right of access): ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, including your tags' location history.
- Correct it (rectification): ask us to fix anything that's wrong, such as your name or email address.
- Delete it (erasure): delete your account in the app or on this website. Your Google link, locations and places are erased straight away. We keep payment records with your personal details removed, because tax law requires it.
- Take it with you (portability): ask for your location history as a spreadsheet file (CSV).
- Restrict or object: ask us to pause using your data while something is checked, or object to uses based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any of them, and change your cookie choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.
How to use your rights
Email us from the address on your account and say what you'd like. If you write from another address we may need to check it's really you before we share anything. It's free, and we'll reply within one month. If a request is complex we can extend that by up to two more months, but we'll tell you why within the first month.
About your child
The child who carries a tag doesn't have an account and we don't collect their name, age or photo. Their location is personal data about them, though, so we treat it carefully: it's shown only to you, kept for 90 days, never used for advertising or profiling, and never sold. As your child grows, we'd encourage you to talk to them about how the tag works and agree together how it's used. Older children have privacy rights of their own, and the ICO's guidance for families is a good place to start.
Only use Little Footprints for children you're responsible for, and never to follow an adult without their knowledge and agreement.
If something goes wrong
If we ever have a data breach that risks your rights, we'll tell the ICO within 72 hours and tell you without delay if it affects you.
Complaints
Please tell us first, and we'll do our best to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
