Which tags to get
Little Footprints works with tags on Google's Find Hub network, set up on an Android phone. We recommend Pebblebee's tags for Android.
Our recommendation: Pebblebee
- Clip for Android: clips onto a school bag or keyring.
- Tag for Android: small and square, for a zip pocket.
- Card for Android: slim, slides into a wallet or bag pocket.
- Universal models work too, as long as they're set up in Google's Find Hub app on an Android phone (see below).
They're rechargeable, loud when you need to find them, and made for Google's network.
You can buy them from Pebblebee's shop. This is an affiliate link: if you buy through it, we earn a small commission from Pebblebee at no extra cost to you.
Android, not Apple
A tag can only be on one network at a time. Tags set up with Apple's Find My (including AirTags, and Pebblebee Universal tags paired on an iPhone) can't be seen by Little Footprints.
If your Pebblebee Universal tag was ever set up on an iPhone, reset it as Pebblebee's instructions explain, then pair it on an Android phone.
Setting it up
- Turn on Bluetooth and location on your Android phone.
- Put the tag into pairing mode (see its instructions).
- Add it when your phone shows the pop-up, or in Google's Find Hub app.
- Name it something your child would recognise, like "Ella's bag".
- In Little Footprints, open Tags, tick it and tap Save.
